Between Holidays

What happened to the fall? We were all geared up and ready to go and things changed in 5 minutes. Bill got some strange tick bite illness that still has not been identified and just as he was coming out of it my Mom suffered a severe stroke. I now know too much about that old cliche “things can change in a heartbeat.”

After spending six weeks in the hospitalĀ  Mom is now a resident of a rehabilitation facility and I am still spending time with her everyday. Recovering from a stroke is so undefined that it is impossible to say how long it will take and what the outcome will be.

Luckily for me I have Bill, Nick and Brad to keep Halfpenny Sales going strong. I am working as much as I can but hanging close to home in case I am needed. My brain is scrambled most of the time but I can still talk heating and air with the maintenance people at the hospital and nursing facility. I haven’t lost it yet! I am looking forward to Chicago and the AHR meeting which should beĀ  big this year.

Can’t wait to get out and see everybody as soon as I can and get those preseason orders in!!
